Each MIP Anesthesia System uses Stainless Steel Fasteners instead of ferrous metal fasteners. This feature prevents unsightly corrosion of the fittings when harsh disinfectants are used to decontaminate the devices. Not only is this an aesthetic issue, but will ensure years and years of trouble free service.
Our brackets are made of Aircraft Grade 6061 Aluminum. These brackets are either black anodized or black powder coated to prevent discoloration.
Each inhalant anesthesia device uses Thick Walled Silicone Conductive Tubing. Silicone is much more resistant to oxidation and chemical degradation from the inhalant anesthetics than the less expensive latex which most manufacturers use.
Each inhalant anesthesia device has a single piece Delrin® Common Outlet. This feature allows the operator to quickly and easily switch from one appliance (Nose Cone or Induction Chamber) to another.
Our Dual Diverter Manifold virtually eliminates the confusion of other dual diverter systems. Not only are the stopcocks easily accessible, but they are color coded with the respective common outlet and the tubing so there is no guesswork in determining which stopcock controls which appliance.
Our Mapleson D Non-Rebreathing System is designed to eliminate the mechanical dead space when using appropriate carrier gas flow rates. The coaxial system affords fresh gas to flow directly towards the subject, and exhaled gases to flow away from the subject. Also, we manufacture 4 different sized face masks which attach to the Mapleson D for use with various species. Each mask comes with extra (6” X 12”) sturdy 12 mil latex diaphragm material.
Our Universal Rodent Nosecone is ideal for use with mice and small rats. It features the same 12 mil diaphragm material which not only holds the animal’s muzzle in the Nose Cone, but it keeps the Waste Anesthetic Gases from escaping into the workplace.
Our Face Masks are designed with latex diaphragms which can be custom cut to precisely fit the anatomy of the subject. Instead of using a typical “X” or “+” in the diaphragm, it is much safer for the subject, and the operator, to have a circular hole and a snugly fitting diaphragm. This prevents the waste anesthetic gases from escaping around the animal’s muzzle into the workspace. It also helps to flush the exhaled gases to the exhaust system. And, with a snugly conforming diaphragm, the animal can be manipulated without fear of it falling out of the mask. Extra diaphragm material comes with each face mask; and it is available as a separate component.
Our Posi-Vac Induction Chambers are hooded to prevent WAG’s from leaking into the workplace. Whether you use in-house vacuum or depend upon a passive WAG management system, the hooded Posi-Vac Induction Chambers help to reduce the risk of exposure to WAG’s in the workplace. If a Chemical Fume Hood is available, that is the definitive for managing WAG’s from the induction chamber. If no fume hood is available, and a vacuum source is available, the vacuum can be used to draw out the anesthetic gases from the chamber before or as it is opened. The chambers are fabricated from PET/G and are highly resistant to impact and alcohol disinfectants—unlike the acrylic type induction chambers.
Our ProStation Workstation utilizes cutting edge technology:

It is autoclavable, can be put through a cage washer, and is non-reactive to commonly used disinfectants.
The quick disconnects for the Warm Water Therapy System are installed directly on the ProStation.
The non-rebreathing system can be attached directly to the ProStation via Stainless Steel Clips.
There is a Dual Waste Anesthetic Gas Management System
1. Downdraft portion to be used with a vacuum source.
2. Passive WAG management via gases following the path of least resistance to the WAG management system.
The edges of the ProStation have built-in tie-down fixtures so that the animal can be properly positioned for the procedure.

Our Vapor-Vac WAG Management System is unique in the industry. Whether used with in-house vacuum or our own special Vapor-Vac Pump, our system greatly reduces the risk of exposure to inhalant anesthetics in the workplace.

For features related to Inhalant Anesthesia Systems with Rebreathing capabilities:

Our flush has a 50 lpm Safety Restrictor.
Our enclosed 19mm OD Pressure Relief Valve (Pop-Off Valve) has less than 1 cm water resistance in the fully open position. This safety feature helps prevent over inflation of the rebreathing bag and subsequent potential damage to the animal’s lungs.
Our Rebreathing Head is machined from solid CPVC. It will not break, bend, dent, crack nor corrode. And, it is non-reactive to inhalant anesthetics and CO2 absorbent material.
Our Rebreathing Heads have a built in manometer to measure pressure in cmH2O (the standard in the veterinary community) when ventilation of the animal is desired.

In addition, we incorporates elegant features not found on other manufacturer’s inhalant anesthesia systems such as:
1. Built-in Patient Monitor Shelf for mounting physiological monitoring devices and other instrumentation (on Standard Compact Anesthesia Machine).
2. Built-in hose hook for arranging rebreathing hoses and non-rebreathing systems (on Standard Compact and Compact Convertible Anesthesia Machines).
3. Built-in syringe holder for endotracheal tube cuff inflation.
4. Stable H-shaped base that are extremely stable and will not tip over like most spider leg bases.
