Enzyme Substrates We offer the highest quality chromogenic, fluorogenic and bioluminescent enzyme substrates. These are useful tools in the studies of molecular biology (detection of reporter gene expression), microbiology (food, clin. & environ.) and immunology (ELISAs). We welcome you to inquire about our bulk prices, which can be significantly lower than our regular prices. Substrates For ß-Glucuronidase
Bioluminescent Substrates Bioluminescence is the light produced in a biochemical reaction involving the oxidation of a substrate via an enzyme. This phenomenon has been used extensively in different formats for life science research and drug discovery owing to its extremely high sensitivity and nonhazardous nature. Examples of bioluminescence applications include calcium detection in live cells or tissues, reporter gene assays, ELISA, bioluminescence resonance energy transfer (BRET) for protein interaction studies, superoxide anion detection and high throughput drug screening. |

Peptidase and Protease Substrates Molecular Imaging Products Company offers fluorogenic peptidase and protease substrates that are based on three fluorescent dyes: rhodamine 110 (R110), 7-amino-4-trifluoromethycoumarin (AFC) and 7-amino-4-methylcoumarin (AMC or MCA). The substrates are synthesized by coupling the corboxy group of an amino acid derivative or a peptide of a specific sequence to the amine groups of the dyes. Before enzymatic hydrolysis, these substrates have no or very weak fluorescence. On enzymatic hydrolysis, the dye is released, greatly increasing the fluorescence.
